Dokuchayev. 1963-1971 — scientist of Ukranian Research Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry. 1971-1979 — Assistant of Professor, 1979-2007 - Head of Agrochemistry Department in Kharkov National Agrarian University named after V. V. Dokuchayev, 2007 — till present President of Research and Technological Institute of Transcription, Translation and Replication, JSC. Under the supervising of Prof. M. Kulyeshov have been prepared more than 100 persons from 50 countries for Master of Science Degree and 11 persons for Ph. D. Degree. Prof. M. Президент АО «Научно-технологический институт транскрипции, трансляции и репликации». Доктор сельскохозяйственных наук, профессор.
В 1963 г. закончил факультет агрохимии и почвоведения Харьковского СХИ им. В.В.Докучаева. С 1963 по 1971 г.— научный сотрудник Украинского НИИ почвоведения и агрохимии им. А.Н.Соколовского. С 1971 по 1979 г. — доцент кафедры агрохимии Харьковского СХИ. С 1979 по 2007 г. — заведующий кафедрой агрохимии Харьковского национального аграрного университета им. В.В.Докучаева. Под руководством М. Н. Кулешова подготовлено более 100 магистров наук из 50 стран, а также 10 кандидатов наук из семи стран мира.
Профессор М. Н. Кулешов — Почётный Генеральный Директор Международного Биографического Центра (Кембридж, Англия), Постоянный Старший Эксперт Европейской Комиссии (Брюссель, Бельгия), член специализированного совета Д 64.354.01 в ННЦ «ИПА им. А. Н. Соколовского». Участник международных симпозиумов и конгрессов в США, Канаде, ФРГ, Бельгии, Индии, Венгрии и Украине.
Награды:
• Медаль Архимеда — по случаю объявления ООН2006 г. Годом науки;
• Почётный диплом Международного Биографического Центра «За научные исследования и развитие высшей школы»-;
• звание «Отличник Высшей школы СССР»;

Автор более 130 работ на семи европейских языках в области агрохимии, почвоведения, экологии и истории науки (монографии, статьи, учебно-методические пособия, биографические исследования жизни и деятельности выдающихся учёных; труды международных симпозиумов и конгрессов). Разработчик уникального замкнутого технологического цикла очистки промышленных газов от сернистого ангидрида, агроэкологического метода страхования.

Kharkov Research and Technological Institute of Transcription, Translation and Replication does not correspond to traditional imaginations as to research institution. The structure of RTI TTR belongs to absolutely new formation which provides maximum affectivity in real economic conditions for Ukraine today. In such structure takes place the combination of research works, technological elaborations, production and business. Due to such combination it is possible to bind the solution of very important problems which can not decide the state official institutions — to provide the financial conditions for fundamental science and for pilot investigations for future.
The scale of investigations of Institute scientists is very wide — from the methods of soil fertility increasing up to prolongation of human life, from modern methods of casting up to space flying objects creating.

— Prof. Kuleshov, accounting very wide spectrum of actual elaborations, the results of its implementations, your institute is very effective establishment. What advantages of your Institute?
— The main advantage of our Institute activity is flexibility. The modern scientific imaginations show at present that Charles Darwin theory is not absolutely correct but this theory has grounded bases: the surviving in changeable conditions depends on ability to be flexible according to these changes. In adaptation to human activity it is possible to explain so: for surviving it is necessary to have the clean goal and to be flexible for the achievement of this goal. In such sense

в традиционные представления о научно-исследовательском учреждении. Это структура совершенно новой формации, адекватно отвечающей запросам времени и максимально эффективной в реальных экономических условиях сегодняшней Украины. В ней гармонично сочетаются научные исследования, технологические разработки, производство и бизнес. Институт самостоятельно решает одну из острейших проблем, с которой пока не справляется государство, — материальное обеспечение условий для фундаментальной науки, для поисковых исследований с прицелом на будущее.
Диапазон результативного научного поиска учёных института простирается от разработки методов повышения плодородия почвы до неограниченного продления жизни человека, от усовершенствования технологий литейного производства до создания космических аппаратов по типу «летающих тарелок». — Михаил Николаевич, судя по широкому спектру актуальных разработок, результативности их внедрения, ваш институт — очень эффективная структура. В чём его преимущества?
— Преимущество наше в гибкости. По английски — flexibility. Знаете, сейчас учёные пришли к выводу, что теория Дарвина не совсем верна, но она имеет основательный базис: выживает тот, кто умеет меняться в соответствии с изменяющимися условиями. В применении к человеческой деятельности это интерпретируется так: чтобы выжить, надо иметь перед собой ясную цель и быть гибким при её достижении. То есть институт, как научно-технологическая, производственная и бизнесовая структура, — форма адекватности науки современным экономическим обстоятельствам.

our institute is the adequate form of science for modern economical and financial peculiarities including technological, industrial and business parts of common structure.
— Can we constant that the field of Institute activity is an unlimited range of research investigations and elaborations?
— Practically, yes. When somebody asks me: "What are the kinds of your Institute's activity?" — I am answering — "All kinds which are not against modern legislations".
— But for this it is necessary to have significant scientific potential, financial possibilities.
— Of course. We have such scientific potential. The staff of Institute consists of more than 200 collaborators. Among them — Professors, Doctors of Science, Philosophy Doctors and other high professional level specialists in different branches of knowledge. Besides that in our Institute take places special accounts and justice departments. Due to such parts of our structure we have professional accounting and justice expertise of each agreement which is planned for underwriting. Other words, in our activity we are standing on modern legislation, state standards documents, overall analysis of agreement peculiarities. It is before the all. Secondary, we are completely free and independently in our decisions if there is situation to change the direction of investigations or elaborations. In comparing with state scientific research institutions we don't need to have necessary difficult and cumbersome coordination. Our work is more flexible and profitable. It gives us real possibility to select more perspective, profitable researches and investigations and to close the no perspective, unprofitable directions.
As to financial security of our scientific and technological works — we have all possibilities to provide our investigations in needed sums. The clean financial income of Institute for 9 months of the year 2008 was more than 5 millions UAH. I understand that this sum is not so much in comparing to large companies, but for scientific institute it is not so bad. That is why I am sure from the point of view of effectiveness that such types of institutions will take its places in science, in state economic, in social relations.
— The financial results of Institute's activity show the significant requirement of your scientific and technological productions. What can you tell about partners relations and collaborations?

— Поле его деятельности — почти неограниченный диапазон исследований и разработок?
— Практически, да. Когда у меня спрашивают: «Чем вы занимаетесь?» — я отвечаю: «Всем, что не противоречит законодательству».
— Но для этого нужно иметь мощный научный потенциал, финансовые возможности.
— Конечно. И этот потенциал есть. В институте более 200 сотрудников: доктора и кандидаты наук — высокопрофессиональные, ведущие специалисты в различных отраслях знаний. Кроме того, у нас очень грамотные финансисты — НТИ ТТР обслуживает большой аудиторский отдел. У нас очень грамотные юристы. Перед тем как подписывать тот или иной договор, обязательно проводится юридическая, правовая, финансовая экспертизы и так далее. То есть в своей деятельности опираемся на законодательные, нормативные акты, всесторонний анализ. Это во-первых. Во-вторых, мы независимы в принятии решений, если возникает необходимость изменить какое-то направление, какую-то тему. По сравнению с бюджетными институтами, где для того, чтобы изменить тематику исследования, необходимы громоздкие согласования, наша работа строится более гибко и целесообразно: что неперспективно, невыгодно — уходит, а приходит то, что действительно актуально, результативно. Что же касается финансирования исследований, разработок — у нас есть для этого возможности. Так, по итогам работы за девять месяцев текущего года чистая прибыль у нас составила более 5,0 млн грн. Пусть это и немного в сравнении с доходами крупных компаний...
— Для научной структуры — это значительный показатель.

— Да. И это чистый доход. Поэтому с точки зрения эффективности, я думаю, что в перспективе вот такого типа научные институты всё-таки займут своё место и в науке, и в экономической сфере государства, и в общественных отношениях.

serious problem — flooding of underground waters. There is very big danger to destroy the historical monuments and constructions, unique landscapes. Our scientists recommended to use unique prognosis technology which allows to make conclusion for providing of safe status of buildings and constructions in the conditions of emergency situation. That is why we have the scientific and technical agreement with "Sofia Kievskaya" for saving of this invaluable historical property of Ukraine.
Besides that I can refer to plant "Tochmedpribor". This enterprise produces unique medical devices — beginning from oral surgery instruments and finishing to the special equipment for cancer diseases diagnosis. The scheme of collaboration with this institution is the same — scientific investigations and at the same time — implementation of obtained results.
— Other words, elaborations of your Institute are in implementation?
— Sure, this is our elaborations, patented. More over, today it is actually to use ana to develop nanotechnology. For such kind of technology it is necessary to use small cut materials — steel, cast-iron and others. In our Institute we have unique equipment for very small cutting for many materials.
— By the way, in such leading countries as Japan, USA there are large investments in nanotechnology development. What about this direction in your institution?
— It is so. But in such case we use the rule "just help yourself. All expenditures are from our reserves.
Besides that, there is such important question as technology of diamonds processing for brilliants producing. In the RTI TTR structure we have special department with unique technology for diamonds grinding. Requirements of such technologies is very high as in jewelry as in industry.
— It is known, that RTI TTR elaborates and provides the implementation of progressive technologies in Agriculture. Tell us about this important direction.

— Финансовые результаты свидетельствуют о значительной востребованности разработок института. Как складывается сотрудничество, партнёрские взаимоотношения?
— Ну, например: Национальный заповедник «София Киевская». Он столкнулся с серьёзной проблемой — подтопление грунтовыми водами. Опасности разрушения подверглись исторические здания, сооружения, уникальные ландшафты. А нашими учёными разработана технология прогнозирования, цель которой — способствовать обеспечению эксплуатационной надёжности зданий и сооружений в экстремальной ситуации подтопления. Поэтому у нас с «Софией Киевской» заключён договор о научно-техническом сотрудничестве, на основе которого институт работает фактически над спасением этого бесценного исторического достояния Украины.
Ещё один из многих наших партнёров — завод «Точмедприбор». Он выпускает уникальную медицинскую аппаратуру: начиная от стоматологических буров и кончая приборами для, допустим, изотопной диагностики онкологических заболеваний. Схема сотрудничества с этим предприятием такова: одновременно проводятся научные исследования — и тут же идёт внедрение.
— То есть внедряются разработки именно вашего института?
— Безусловно, это наши разработки, запатентованные. Далее. Сейчас очень актуальны нанотехнологии. А для нанотехнологий необходимы очень тонко измельчённые материалы — сталь, чугун и прочее. В нашем институте разработано уникальное оборудование по этому измельчению.
— Кстати, в наноразработки такие ведущие в современных технологиях государства, как США, Япония, вкладывают огромные средства, исчисляемые в миллиардах долларов.
— Да. А мы это делаем сами, нас абсолютно никто не подпитывает. Следующее направление — сверхтвёрдые покрытия. Существует такой вопрос,
как технология обработки алмазов с целью превращения их в бриллианты. Над ним работает такая, например, известнейшая в мире фирма — «Де Бирс». А в структуре НТИ ТТР есть специальный производственный участок по нанесению сверхтвёрдых покрытий — там по нашим технологиям шлифуют алмазы. Востребованность этой продукции велика: это и ювелирные фабрики, и разные производства, где необходимы технические алмазы, и т.д.

- Before the all I have to say that our Institute is a member of "so called" corporation where the main part is Insurance Company LEMMA. The beginning of our activity was in the frame of "LEMMA" with investigations of crops insurance possibility.
The head of LEMMA Insurance Company is Dr. S. Chernyshov — author of the main conception of Institute activity, Hon-orar President of RTI TTR. Dr. S. Chernyshov is the author of more than 35 patents, awarded by Order of St. Stanislav.
Due to initiative of Dr. S. Chernyshov it was created the new direction as to crops yield insurance. This direction includes new methodological approach which allows to use information as to soils rating for different regions of Ukraine. Using of this method is very important for Ukraine where Agriculture is connected with a lot of risks.
Except that, we have very interesting method for obtaining of artificial humus. It is known that with humus concentration in soil are connected a lot of important soil properties (biological, physical, physical-chemical) which provides the main quality of soil — it's fertility. Using organic waste which we can convert in artificial humus we have possibility to obtain very good organic fertilizer. The applying of this fertilizer can provide the renovation of soil fertility.
The list of our elaboration is enough long and I think that to continue it is necessary to have a lot of time.
— Such effective structure as RTI TTR helps to Ukraine to decide the main tasks for science development. As we know your institution provides the sponsors help, i. e. makes charity.
- Indeed, we help to other institutions in a lot of directions: building of churches, struggle against drugs etc.
So we have possibility not only to exist independently but to help others who needs in our support.

— Известно, что НТИ ТТР разрабатывает и внедряет очень прогрессивные технологии и методы для сельского хозяйства. Расскажите, пожалуйста, и об этом важном направлении.
— Тут, прежде всего, надо сказать о том, что наш институт входит в своего рода корпорацию, во главе которой стоит страховая компания «ЛЕММА» — одна из крупнейших в Украине. Собственно, с неё всё и началось. Руководитель этой компании Сергей Иванович Чернышов непосредственный автор и разработчик концепции, лежащей в основе деятельности нашего института. Он — автор более 35 изобретений, за плодотворную научную и организационную деятельность награждён орденом Святого Станислава II степени.
И вот благодаря инициативе страховой компании родилось совершенно новое направление — по страхованию рисков в аграрной сфере. Был разработан уникальный методологический подход по страхованию рисков в сельском хозяйстве, по страхованию урожаев сельскохозяйственных культур. Насколько это важно для сельскохозяйственной сферы Украины, где аграрный сектор самая рискованная отрасль, думаю, излишне говорить.
Есть у нас и очень интересная методика по получению искусственного гумуса. Гумус — это главный носитель плодородия, он обеспечивает биологические, физические, физико-химические свойства почвы. Так вот колоссальное количество органических отходов, которое пропадает — их просто выбрасывают, наша методика позволяет превратить в прекрасное органическое соединение, которое возвращает почве плодородие.
Перечень практического применения разработок учёных нашего института я мог бы продолжать и продолжать.
— Михаил Николаевич, такая самодостаточная и эффективная структура, как ваш институт, значительно облегчает задачи государства по развитию науки, которой оно в общем-то обязано помогать. Но, насколько известно, НТИ ТТР сам оказывает помощь другим — активно занимается благотворительностью.
— Раз уж вы об этом спросили — отвечу. Да, институт вносит свою лепту в строительство храмов, делает спонсорские взносы в общественно значимые акции, на-ример в дело борьбы с наркотиками и т. д.
Так что мы имеем возможность не только существовать самостоятельно, но и оказывать помощь тем, кто в ней нуждается.
